About Antalya Airport

Antalya Airport (AYT) is Turkey’s third busiest airport after Istanbul and Sabiha Gökçen, handling around 40 to 45 million passengers in peak years. It is the country’s main holiday gateway, with charter and scheduled flights from across Europe, Russia, the Gulf and central Asia. The site has two international terminals (T1 and T2), a separate domestic terminal and a CIP/VIP terminal, spread along a single road on the eastern side of the city.

AYT is operated under a long-term concession by TAV Airports and ICF Airports, with a major terminal modernisation programme ongoing. Turkish Airlines, Pegasus, SunExpress and AnadoluJet anchor the domestic and outbound network, while European charter and scheduled brands fill the international terminals heavily from May to October.

Getting from Antalya Airport to Antalya

A pre-booked transfer to central Antalya takes around 25 minutes via the D400 highway. The Antray tram has a stop near the terminals, but with luggage and family groups a private transfer is normally faster end to end. Operators also serve the long resort strip east of Antalya, where many travellers arrive late in the evening on charter flights and need a vehicle waiting at the door.

Terminals and pickup points

AYT terminals are aligned along the main airport road:

  • Terminal 1 (T1): international flights, mainly scheduled airlines and some charter.
  • Terminal 2 (T2): international flights, with a heavy charter footprint in summer.
  • Domestic terminal: Turkish Airlines, Pegasus, AnadoluJet and other Turkish carriers.

Pre-booked transfer drivers wait outside each terminal at the marked meeting area, with a name sign confirmed in the booking.

Longer excursion routes by private transfer include the Roman theatre at Aspendos (50 minutes east of AYT), the waterfalls and ancient site at Manavgat (75 minutes east) and the inland village of Termessos in the Bey Mountains (60 minutes west). Booking your Antalya Airport transfer

Compare licensed Turkish operators on this site for any AYT route. You see one fixed price covering tolls and luggage, with meet-and-greet at the terminal, flight tracking and free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup. Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Alipay, iDEAL, Wero and PayPal are all accepted.

For resort hotels east of Antalya, a pre-booked transfer with a child-friendly minivan is a popular choice for families arriving late at night on charter flights from northern Europe. A single fixed price and door-to-door pickup keep the last hour of a long travel day as simple as possible. Bookings can be made up to a few hours before pickup when capacity is available, although locking in a vehicle 24 to 48 hours ahead is strongly recommended in peak summer when AYT runs near full capacity. Most operators allocate a backup driver for early-morning runs.
