About Barcelona Port
The Port of Barcelona is the busiest cruise port in Europe and the Mediterranean, handling more than 3 million cruise passengers a year across the Moll Adossat (Adossat Quay) cruise berths and the older World Trade Center terminals. The main cruise activity sits at Moll Adossat, a 2 km finger of reclaimed land south of Montjuïc, with Terminals A through E operated by various cruise lines and consortia. Costa, MSC, Carnival and Royal Caribbean rotate through these berths during the May to October peak.
The older Terminal Nord at the World Trade Center sits closer to the city, at the foot of La Rambla. It is mainly used by smaller ships and turnarounds that need closer city access. Either area is within a 10 to 15 minute drive of Plaça de Catalunya in normal traffic.
Getting from Barcelona Port to Barcelona
The drive into the city centre is short, typically 10 to 20 minutes from Moll Adossat or 5 to 10 minutes from WTC. Moll Adossat connects via the harbour bridge to the Ronda Litoral, then exits at La Rambla, Marina or the Eixample depending on hotel location. Hotels along the Diagonal and in Eixample add 5 to 10 minutes during the morning rush.
For onward travel to El Prat the same day, allow 25 to 40 minutes of drive time plus airport check-in. Sants Station for AVE high-speed services is 6 km north-west of the port, around 15 to 25 minutes by road.
Cruise terminals and pickup points
Moll Adossat hosts Terminals A, B, C, D and E. Each has its own entrance where pre-booked drivers wait with name signs. The walk from ship gangway to terminal exit varies from 5 to 15 minutes depending on the vessel size and disembarkation method.
The World Trade Center cluster (Terminal Nord) sits at the south end of La Rambla, next to the Maremagnum mall and aquarium. Its pickup point is the main terminal entrance on the WTC seafront, with a short walk to the dedicated kerbside lane.

Booking your Barcelona Port transfer
Cruise turnaround days in Barcelona move tens of thousands of passengers through Moll Adossat in a single morning, which is why the kerbside taxi queue often runs longer than the disembarkation queue. A pre-booked transfer puts your driver inside the correct terminal with a name sign before you reach the exit, with the dedicated pickup lane handling loading.
