Terminal Fusina is the car-ferry terminal at the southern edge of the Venetian Lagoon, in the Marghera industrial area on the mainland. It operates as a passenger and car-ferry port rather than a city cruise terminal, with sailings mainly run by Anek-Superfast on the Adriatic route to Igoumenitsa and Patras in Greece. The terminal also handles seasonal traffic to Croatia and occasional cruise calls when the main Marittima terminal is at capacity.

The site has parking for several hundred cars and a single passenger terminal building with check-in counters, a small cafe and waiting area. The road approach is via Via Moranzani from the SS11 and the A4 motorway, which connects Fusina to Venice’s Piazzale Roma in 30 minutes and to Marco Polo Airport in 30 to 40 minutes.

Getting from Fusina to Venice

Fusina is on the mainland, so unlike the Marittima cruise terminal there is no walking route into the historic centre. A road transfer to Piazzale Roma takes 25 to 35 minutes via the SS11 and Liberty Bridge causeway. From Piazzale Roma you continue on foot, by vaporetto or by water taxi to your hotel.

A seasonal Alilaguna shuttle boat runs between Fusina and Zattere on the Dorsoduro waterfront in around 25 minutes, useful for hotels on the southern edge of the historic centre but limited in operating hours. For passengers with multiple bags or arriving outside the shuttle hours, a pre-booked road transfer to Piazzale Roma is the simpler option.
