About the Port of Bercy
The Port of Bercy is one of the river-cruise berths managed by Haropa Ports along the Seine in central Paris. It sits on the right bank in the 12th arrondissement, downstream of the pont de Bercy and within easy walk of Bercy Village, the Bercy Arena and the Cinémathèque française. The location offers cruise passengers a quiet, leafy embarkation point compared to the busier berths nearer the city centre, with sweeping views back towards Notre-Dame on departure.
As with all Seine berths in Paris, there is no purpose-built terminal building. Embarkation happens directly from the quayside via the operator’s gangway, with check-in handled on board. The closest major rail station is Gare de Lyon, about 10 minutes away on foot or one metro stop on line 14 to Cour Saint-Émilion.
Getting from the Port of Bercy to Paris
The port is already central, so most onward hops are short. Metro line 14 stops at Cour Saint-Émilion (Bercy Village) and Bercy itself is on lines 6 and 14, putting most of the centre within 15 to 25 minutes by underground. For groups with cruise luggage, the airports or onward train stations, a pre-booked private transfer is the easier choice, with a fixed fare and a driver waiting on the quay.
The proximity to Gare de Lyon makes Bercy a natural start point for TGV connections to Lyon, Marseille, Geneva and Italy. The short hop between port and station takes 5 to 15 minutes by car and is much easier than wheeling cruise suitcases through the metro. For flights, Orly is 17 km south, typically 25 to 45 minutes, and Charles de Gaulle is 28 km north-east at 45 to 65 minutes.
Berths and pickup points
Cruise operators berth along quai de Bercy at the position allocated by Haropa Ports on the day. The driver meets you at the top of the gangway on the quay access road. If your operator switches berth at short notice (sometimes to Austerlitz or Grenelle), pass the change to us at least 24 hours ahead and the pickup point updates accordingly.
